Mark Oprins grew up among bamboo plants. Mark runs a family-run bamboo nursery in Merksplas Belgium and understands very well that bamboo can be a real sustainable supercharger. Mark was already focusing on sustainability in the bamboo farm by, for example, recycling water through a sub-terrain drainage system in the greenhouses. Now it is time for the next step: carbon farming. The plants in Mark's field receive the best possible treatment and are already showing promising growth results. Well-growing plants guarantee efficient CO2 sequestration.

Mark is a bamboozler. He is very aware of its potential for both nature and economy. A greener and bio-based future is guaranteed. Mark is active daily among the bamboo and lovingly maintains his fields.
Local supply
The bamboo grown by Mark on this field primarily has a carbon sink function. This barren piece of land without any purpose, will be transformed into a green forest in a few years, helping to purify the local air. In summer, it will also be able to serve as a cooling green oasis for animals and children playing.
Regeneration
Planting bamboo on this plot will improve soil quality and reduce erosion. The thick humus layer improves the organic component and lowers soil temperature.
