Bamboo Credits from Bamboologic are the first carbon removal certificates issued under the Dutch certification body ONCRA to be independently verified by Bureau Veritas. With this, Bamboologic continues to pioneer in carbon farming. Bamboo Credits are high-quality carbon removal certificates that deliver triple impact: on the climate, on sustainable and nature-inclusive agriculture, and on the green economy.
External verification: an extra layer of trust and transparency
Companies, organizations, and individuals actively contributing to climate solutions by purchasing carbon removal credits or Bamboo Credits from European bamboo farmers can now rely on an added layer of trust. Bamboologic, a leader in sustainable bamboo cultivation and processing in Europe, has received a positive verification within the ISO 14063-3 framework by Bureau Veritas. A sample of bamboo farms in the Netherlands, France, and Portugal was reviewed. The implementation of the Land Stored Carbon Protocol, developed by the Dutch certification body ONCRA, was assesed. The Bureau Veritas team also visited Bamboologic’s bamboo farm in Alcoutim, Portugal, to verify the real-world impact.
Earlier this year, an assessment was carried out in close collaboration with C-Nery to identify the needs and opportunities for bamboo carbon removal projects with a view to certification and labelling.

For buyers, Bamboo Credits represent local, nature-based carbon removal projects where actual carbon sequestration and storage is already taking place. No greenwashing – just real, local climate action.

www.bamboocarbonremoval.eu provides an overview of participating European bamboo farms. Bamboo Credits can be purchased directly through the platform or through specialized advisors as Regreener and Scature . Transparency and reliability are central: project data is openly available, and all transactions can be viewed in the public ONCRA ledger.
