Raphael Vallet is farmer based in Brienne-la-Vieille, France, managing his bamboo farm located near his home. Eager to explore how bamboo grows in this region, he is focused on studying the development of his current plants with the goal of expanding his bamboo cultivation in the future. This initiative aims to positively transform the land by planting bamboo, which not only removes CO2 from the atmosphere but also fosters a new ecosystem that prevents erosion, retains soil moisture, enhances biodiversity, and provides a rapidly renewable resource. His hands-on approach and close proximity to the farm allow him to closely monitor growth conditions and adapt his practices to optimise bamboo production as he plans to increase planting over time.
